très bon hôtel Vue du 11 étage superbe... toute la ville à vos pieds. hôtel très bien situé, en haut de la Rambla. A quelques pas: Métro et train (25 minutes aéroport - 2,60 Euro).... et très tranquille. Petit déjeuner riche et personnel sympa. 4.6

"Fantastic!" Wow, what can I say! If you want a great hotel in a great location then stay at the NH Calderon. My husband and I stayed for 3 nights from Aug 4th-7th and had a great time. The hotel is very good value 100 euros a night and I would definitely stay again. The rooms are sapcious, very clean and have great ammenities. This hotel also has a pool on the roof which is small but offers fantastic views. 100% recommend it. The hotel is right at the top of La Ramblas and 3 minute walk from Placa de Catalunya. This is a good place to take a tour bus from or the bus back to the airport (3.5 euros). Loads of great restaurants around and all the main sights/beach are fairly close by. The rooms are very quiet and ask for one with a balcony (as most do not have them).

"Good hotel for business travel" Spent 2 nights in August for a business trip. The location is perfect, in terms of being in the city centre. Took advice of others and requested a room at the upper floors. Not only are these brand new, clean and spacious, but also you get an incredible view from all windows. In the event that you can not get a upper-level room, I suggest taking a trip to the rooftop. If not for a swim, at least for the spectacular views. Also the room had nice extra touches, such as nh-smints and extra bathroom amenities such as comb and shoe polish. Only thing unfortunate is that the hotel, for some legal reasons, is unable to deliver an iron + board to the room. I therefore had a very crumpled shirt to wear. On the other hand, there are plenty of shopping opps just outside the door, that one can always buy a shirt on the spot. My rate did not include breakfast, which was just fine. When you walk out the main entrance and take a left, there is a lovely cafe/bar about 10 metres down where you can have an excellent service of coffee, pastries and juice. Would definately stay at this nh hotel again.

"Great hotel, superb location" Cannot say enough about this hotel. I was concerned when I booked it that it was cheaper than other 4 star hotels in the area, but on arriving we were so surprised. Location is superb, right in the middle of things yet quiet. Rooms are huge and very modern. No noise from busy Barcelona streets. Lovely rooftop pool and terrace which we didn't use ( it was February!), but was a lovely escape from the city. Would highly recommend this hotel.
