"Classy hotel in great location" My girlfriend and I booked four nights here (arrived back in the UK yesterday) after reading the very positive reviews on tripadvisor.com. I can only repeat what they all say! We found a good deal on lastminute. I'd recommend the breakfast if you can get a good inclusive deal - it's an excellent spread (buffet including cooked breakfast, cereals, fruit, hams etc - even wine!!) and is open until relatively late (10.30am). The waiting staff were very efficient at replacing the food and getting guests seated. The staff are friendly and generally give the impression of trying to do that bit extra if they can, whether it's opening a wine bottle or calling you a taxi. The rooms are very modern and clean. We ended up at the front on the second floor, but neither of us really noticed the low rumbling of traffic - it certainly didn't stop us getting to sleep. The room was a good size - best to avoid the smaller rooms overlooking the lightwells though. I have no real complaints (except one thing - the only English language TV station was Sky News - made siestas a little dull after a while!!). Overall I thought it was excellent value for money. You can walk to virtually everything and it is ideal for first-timers to Barcelona. Personally I'm very glad we avoided the tackier noisy Ramblas hotels!!

"Perfect" I took my boyfriend to the H10 Universitat Hotel as a surprise for his 30th birthday and we both loved it. I didn't mention the fact that it was his birthday to the hotel and yet we arrived back to our room one afternoon to find a happy birthday note and some chocolates! This coupled with the welcome cava made our stay a little more memorable. The rooms are a little small but the main point is that they are clean, comfortable and safe. Also, despite some previous concerns about the area around the hotel being unsafe, we found it totally fine and didn't witness any mugging/pickpocketing at all in Barcelona. Book this hotel for a hassle free stay!

"Fantastic hotel for price" What a fantastic find this hotel was. We have just completed our Christmas shopping in the city and this hotel is in a perfect location for this. It is 500 meters from the top of La Rambla and close to everything you need. The hotel is clean, modern, freindly staff, affordable (check the tourist info website for the best prices) and ideally located. Quality

"Could not have been better!" My boyfriend and I have just returned from spending 3 nights at the H10 Universitat, and we have no complaints at all about this hotel. I requested a non-smoking room on a high floor and the hotel did as I asked, the room was a good size for the two of us and we did not experience any noise whatsoever, perhaps because our room was not facing the main street. The staff were pleasant and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel was only a couple of minutes walk from Placa Catalunya after we got off the aerobus, and we were welcomed with a glass of cava which was much appreciated! On the second night we ate in the hotel and the meal was fabulous, I would definitely recommend eating there. Overall, the H10 is a great hotel in the centre of Barcelona, and my boyfriend and I are already considering a return trip for our 21st birthdays in September.

50th Birthday Suprise Excellent hotel. Easy to find and great location for exploring the sights. Glass of cava on arrival. Room spotless and all facilities you could need. Breakfast was exceptional with staff always available and ready to help. Would definitely use again.
