Do not stay here I checked into this hotel believing it to be a four star. The corridor and room which I was shown could only be described as 2/3 star. 1.6

No Complaints Just one ''small'' complaints really, the photo of the roof top swimming pool must have been taken with a magic camera!! Apart from that the hotel was really good. Breakfast was brilliant, staff were extremely helpful and pleasant, room was very clean, as was the bathroom. Mt husband wanted a hotel with a sea view and I wanted one with a swimming pool. From the 8th floor roof top pool you could see the sea so we both got what we wanted [sort of!!]. We were happy with the location, within easy walking distance for Port Olympic, Port Vell and Barceloneta, but The Ramblas would have made our feet hurt a bit. The tourist buses are fantastic, we saw every part of Barcelona possible, even got off at a few touristy sights. If you go to Barcelona you MUST go to Montserrat, a fabulous place. We will certainly go again, and stay at the same hotel. 4.2

"Would definately book this hotel again." H10 Hotel Marina is located in a quiet area and the tube is nearby. On arrival at the hotel, we were greeted by staff at reception with a glass of champagne. Check in was nice & quick. We used the Wellness centre once- really relaxing! Would definately book this hotel again.

"H10 Hotel Marina is a modern hotel " H10 Hotel Marina is a modern hotel located in a residential neighbourhood close to the city center (15 m by foot) and to the beaches (5 m by foot). Close to 2 metro stations. The only proiblem has been the HEAT in the ROOM ! 26° C inside the room alle the period of staying. Really hope for a good climatization in summer time.

"Excellent hotel" Stayed at this hotel as it was close to a concert that we were attending. Was originally looking to stay in the city centre but was put off by the threat of pickpockets, etc, so we decided to look elsewhere to stay. Found this hotel based on visitor comments on this and other websites. On arrival at the hotel, we were greeted by staff at reception with a glass of champagne, never been greeted that way before, a lovely experience. Check in was nice & quick. Room was great, clean as was the rest of the hotel, nice view, air con could have been a little better, thankfully the windows opened. Breakfast was included in our room price and what a breakfast. So much choice, including champagne & fresh strawberries. (Have to say probably one of the best breakfasts we have ever had at a hotel). The hotel is a little out of the city centre, but a 10 min stroll brings you to Marina metro station and 3 stops into the centre. Some reviews have mentioned the run down look of the area which is true. I note one review from 2003 mentioned the area being this way and that it would perhaps be better in years to come! Fraid not! It's a case of manyana! It's a bit of a building site but that's the spanish way! Having been put off by the threat of pickpockets, have to say we did feel quite safe in the centre, obviously take care with your belongings. Would recommend a taxi to the hotel from the airport, cost the two of us €27, which when compared to our return journey on the train/metro was well worth it. Unfortunately we went home on the day of the Barcelona marathon and all major routes were closed, so the train was recommended! Not a good idea, we were sent to one station to be told we were going the wrong way, turned around to be told we needed to be on a lower platform. That journey was frustrating! Especially with a large suitcase in hot weather. Would definately book this hotel again.

"Excellent Hotel, OK Location" Stayed here at the end of June, and was pleasantly surprised to receive a glass of cava on arrival The hotel is modern, the rooms are well equipped and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly. The choice at breakfast was enormous. The only downside is that there was no balcony, but then this is more of a business hotel than a tourist hotel. In terms of location - the hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the Olympic Port, and about 20-25 minutes from Las Ramblas. It is not the prettiest walk to the center, although we did not feel particularly threatened at any point. The area around the hotel is residential, and I would not in any way compare it to "the scariest council estate in London" as other contributors have. However, the location is the only drawback with this hotel, and the reason it did not receive top marks.

I'll be back :) Stayed here during July. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will book again. Location v. slightly out of the way but only 5 minutes walk from metro and easy walk to beaches or Marina. Area round the hotel quite residential and not touristy at all but we didn't feel unsafe at any point. Rooms clean and decent size ( could have used tea making facilities) .Air con was great; staff were helpful and spoke English. Breakfast unbelievably good and evening meal surprisingly classy. Pool on 8th floor ( with poolside bar) very relaxing after a day walking although bar prices in hotel not cheap. Good choice if you want away from the noise of the Rambla yet close enough to get there quickly - about three or four stops on Metro. If you go get a 3 / 5 day ticket. We used it all the time. clean and quick.

Our stay 10 nov-15 Nov 05 This was our first stay at H10nHotels. Much to our surprise this four star Hotel had a very unfriendly front desk day manager when we informed him that the heating system was not working ( outside temperature was in the 14 C area and rainy), the shower head hose was broken and the tile in the bathtub was broken and presented unsanitary conditions in our junior suite accommodations. Also, when we tried to see or make an appointment to see the Genral Manager, he was never available. It appeared that they did not want to hearabout the room problem. On the positive side, the breakfast buffet was excellent with great variety of foods and excellent service. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but the walls between them were very thin. One could hear normal conversations between the room walls. Thank goodness we had quiet neighbors. Having travelled over 5.0 million miles and some 50 countries all over the world, by no means I would NOT rate this a four star hotel. As a result, the value for your spent money is questionable. Please be so kind and post this evaluation. It is the truth.
